Everyone Knows Ben Stein

But did you know that Ben was also valedictorian of his class at Yale Law School, a fighter for civil rights, a tireless and fearless pro-life speaker, author or co-author of 30 books, and most of all, a standup guy for a fairer America?

Ben was a speechwriter for The White House under Nixon and Ford. He wrote the first speech for a President ever calling for energy independence -- 34 years ago. (If only someone had listened to him.)

He has been a trial lawyer, economist, university teacher, novelist, columnist, finance expert, and husband and father.

He Has a Few Key Beliefs

That we cannot let Political Correctness keep us from fighting for our nation's life.
That respect for all human life is basic to the free society.
That no one likes to be pushed around, and that there is nothing in The Constitution that says men and women of faith are the punching bags for people of no faith.
That freedom of speech and inquiry should be allowed about life's origins and about biology and that a wall should not be put up between faith and free speech and free inquiry.
That the military and the military family are the backbone of the nation and deserve to be treated a lot better than they are.
That the military needs to be a lot bigger so we don't use up the brave men and women who are in it with endless deployments.
That the military widow and widower deserve a much more generous treatment than they get.
That the billionaires of Wall Street should not get better tax treatment than the Army widow or the marine Staff Sergeant on patrol in Anbar Province.
That the real stars are not drunken Hollywood starlets, but the guys and gals who risk their lives every day for the nation and decency.
That the people who maintain a lawful, law abiding society, the teachers, police, fire fighters, nurses, emergency room workers--deserve tax relief a lot more than the hedge fund billionaires.

We Are Admirers of Ben Stein

We think he merits your consideration in 2008. We have read his writings. We know he's not a saint. He never claimed to be a saint. But he's smart. He believes in the right causes, and he's fearless.
